Village: Age 11

CISV Villages are international camps that inspire 11-year-old children to imagine a more just and peaceful world. The children come together from many different countries to take part in a variety of educational, cultural and fun activities.

Each Village welcomes delegations from 10-12 countries living communally for twenty-eight days. Delegations consist of two boys and two girls, accompanied by an adult leader. The camp is coordinated by adult staff, supported by Junior Counsellors (age 16-17).

A Village creates a safe, fun setting in which your child will learn, with children from around the world, about each others' lives and cultures and how to communicate, cooperate and live together. The Village learning experiences, and the friendships made, will last your child a lifetime.

This summer, CISV London will be sending one delegation to Trondelag, Norway and one delegation to Waterloo, Ontario. Interested in applying to be a Village delegate or leader?

CISV Village - We the People 2017

Last month we hosted a Village with 48 11-year olds from 12 different countries. Check out this awesome video made by one of our staff members Nick Lavery. It explains what a CISV Village is and how CISV International works to educate and inspire action for a more just and peaceful world. Thank you too all those who came out to lend a helping hand, it truly was a life changing experience for everyone involved. Make sure to turn on Closed Captions!
